This week a small selection of members from the senior band visited 2 local schools, Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Llwyncelyn and Ynyshir Primary School, to introduce the children to brass bands, and play some songs from the screen and stage.
Both visits were well received, and there were some very good questions asked during the Q & A sessions.
For any children aged 7+ (or adults) wishing to learn to play a brass instrument or percussion, our junior band rehearse each Monday 6-7pm at our band room in Ynyshir.
Lessons and music are free, and we can supply an instrument on loan.
We also have a senior band which rehearse Mondays 7:30-9:30pm for any experienced players wishing to come along and sit in on a rehearsal (instruments can also be loaned for the senior band).
